本书共有21个模块，前6个模块为基础模块，主要是以图文并茂的形式展现元器件、仪表、参数等英文描述，同时回顾专业基础理论知识，而后引入3个模块用于掌握理解设备的安装和编程使用手册的能力，培养使用产品说明书的阅读方法。提高篇中选取的阅读材料涉及自动控制应用领域。

本书以提升电气自动化技术岗位技能为目标确定教学模块，组织英文
内容，具有较强的针对性 ；以学生看懂简单的英文图纸，识读产品英文
铭牌数据、产品说明书、相关英文软件界面为目标，使专业英语的学习
简单化、实用化。本书最大限度地吸纳项目化 ( 模块化 ) 的教学理念，实
现了专业技术和专业英语的有机融合。全书采用新的架构方式，将专业
英语教学模块化、图片化、系统化；阅读材料内容以电子设备构造、装配、
原理、维修内容等为依托，本着简单易学、着重使用的原则，使学生掌
握常用电气自动化技术的英语释读，目的是提高学生的职业素养。

　　本课程还建有与之配套的课程网站（ http://210.29.224.37/ete）和多
媒体课件，通过网站，学生可以进行卡片式学习，可以下载与本书配套
的教学资料，还可以通过自测平台对自己的学习情况进行测试。

　　本书共有 20 个单元，单元 1 ～单元 6 作为第 1 篇，主要是以图文并
茂的形式展现元器件、仪表、参数等英文描述，同时回顾专业基础理论知
识，单元 7 ～单元 9 作为第 2 篇用于培养学生理解设备的安装和编程使
用手册的能力，学会产品说明书的阅读方法。单元 10 ～单元 20 作为第 3
篇选取的阅读材料主要涉及自动控制应用领域。

　　教师可根据专业实际和课时数自由选取合适的单元组合教学内容。
